A gag bit is a sliding cheekpiece that runs through the ring of the bit. This creates an elevating effect. Fager offers different gag reins depending on your desired impact—either curb gag or traditional gag.
We always recommend using two reins when using a gag bit: one attached to the gag cheek and one attached to the snaffle.
