This mouthpiece is slightly thinner in the middle, allowing for a gentler fit on the tongue without excessive pressure on the bars or palate. The shape, combined with the gentle material, makes this bit a suitable option for horses with sensitive bars and palate who can be worried in the mouth, and throw their head up when you take the reins. This mouthpiece is suitable for a wide range of horses.
Material
Crafted from premium TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), this bit combines the softness of rubber with the strength and durability needed for everyday riding. TPU is known for its exceptional flexibility, durability, and horse-safe properties, making it ideal for sensitive-mouthed horses and those needing a steadier contact.

Two Hardness Levels:

Whether you're developing a young horse or refining the connection with an experienced partner, the Nicole Soft Rubber Bit supports a softer contact, better communication, and total comfort – every ride, every time.
NOTE! The TPU material is more durable than most rubber bits, but it can still show marks from the teeth of horses that chew or bite on the bit. The bit is therefore not covered by warranty or right of complaint if the damage has occurred due to the horse biting the bit.
Please note: Soft rubber may lose its shape if left hanging for long periods or stored in a warm environment. For best care, keep the bit in a cool place. If reshaping is needed, it can easily be adjusted back into form.
More about the mouthpiece
The fixed gag cheekpiece is designed to give the rider a clearer and more lifting rein aid. Unlike a loose ring gag, the fixed side helps keep the bit more stable in the horse’s mouth and gives a more direct feeling in the contact.
When the rider takes the rein, the gag action creates pressure that lifts the bit slightly in the corners of the horse’s mouth while also applying some pressure over the poll. This encourages the horse to lift the front end, rebalance, and become lighter in the hand. The fixed side also helps with turning and gives extra support, as the cheekpiece sits more steadily against the side of the horse’s face.
This type of cheekpiece can be useful for horses that become strong, lean on the hand, or need more help staying balanced, especially in jumping or faster work. As with all gag bits, it should be used with a soft, educated hand and a clear release when the horse responds.
We recommend always using a gag bit with 2 reins, one attached to the snaffle ring and one attached to the gag rein.
More about the fixed gag
A fixed ring bit should sit close to the horse’s mouth, without causing pressure on the teeth or lips.
The mouthpiece should not be visible between the rings and mouth corner.
If the bit is too long, it can cause discomfort and injuries.
