Fager Penny is recommended if you would describe your horse as the following;
Fager Penny has everything you could want from a bit! It is an incredibly comfortable bit featuring 100% super smooth surfaces, including the joints.
Penny's joints are designed to never press against the sides of the palate or create uneven pressure over the bars. It is an extremely comfortable bit that contours naturally around the tongue, relieving the bars from constant pressure.
This unique design also promotes protection of the bars and the fleshy parts of the mouth from rubs and sores, even in the most sensitive horses.
Fagers Basic line has the same amazing quality and elaborated designs, just with a more affordable standard stainless steel material.
Observe, the basic line does not include velvet bags.
More about the mouthpiece
Loose Rings are designed to move independently to the mouthpiece. This allows the horse more freedom to use his tongue, enabling them to place the pressure from the mouthpiece either higher or lower, whichever they prefer.
Loose Rings are a good choice for a horse that can lean on the bit and can feel stiff to get a softer, more flexible contact.
More about the loose rings
A loose ring bit should sit comfortably with about 2–5 mm space on each side of the horse’s mouth. If the bit is too narrow it may pinch the lips, while a bit that is too wide can move too much and reduce stability.
If your horse has sensitive mouth corners, we recommend adding bit guards to protect the skin.
