How to store the bit between rides:
There's nothing special you need to consider when storing a titanium bit.
We have titanium in both grey and blue. The grey coating is the natural color of the bit; it will get shiny if the horse chews on it. The blue coating on the blue titanium bits is added to the bit and will disappear if the horse chews on it. This will not affect the use of the bit and is not dangerous for the horse

Sweet iron is the material that takes the most effort to care for. The purpose is to disguise the metal taste from stainless steel and create a pleasant, sweet taste, encouraging the horse to seek more contact and hold on to the bit. Following use, sweet iron will start to oxidize and turn brownish grey, and this is to be expected. When this happens, the ‘blue’ will almost disappear.
Sweet iron is meant to rust, and the process will start as soon as the bit gets in contact with moisture and/or saliva.

After riding, wash your bit with water. Do not leave the bit in the water; just wash it off.
Dry the bit with a towel so it's dry.

As it's stainless steel underneath the coating, the bit won't rust all the way through and won't be unsafe to use.

If your leather bit gets dry and stiff over time, you can regain the soft elasticity by soaking it in food-grade paraffin oil. It's important not to oil it too often as it will make the leather porous and delicate. Keep sight of the bit while oiling it so it doesn't get saturated.
The leather material is not suitable for horses that chew a lot on the bit. The bit is therefore not covered by warranty or right of complaint if the damage has occurred due to the horse biting the bit.
The leather is stitched by hand around a wire that's covered with nylon. This assures you that in case of an accident, the horse will not get hurt by the wire in the middle. The wire isn't only to keep you and your horse safe, it also keeps the shape of the bit.
