How to Replace the Mouthpiece and Sidepiece

Before starting, remove the bit from the horse and place it on a clean, stable surface. You will need the correct Allen key supplied with the bit.

Replacing the Sidepiece

1. Use the Allen key to loosen and remove the upper screw connecting the sidepiece to the top section of the bit.
2. Unscrew the small connector sleeve where the mouthpiece meets the sidepiece.
3. Carefully separate the mouthpiece from the sidepiece.
4. Remove the old sidepiece/mouthpiece.
5. Position the new sidepiece/sidepiece in the same orientation as the old one.
6. Insert the end of the mouthpiece into the connector on the new sidepiece.
7. Screw the connector sleeve back into place and tighten it securely by hand.
8. Align the upper section of the sidepiece with the attachment point.
9. Reinsert the upper screw and tighten it with the Allen key.
10. Check that all connections are secure and that the moving parts can operate correctly.
