Fager Harry is the ideal choice If you would describe your horse as the following;
Harry is a stable, sweet-tasting bit.
A steady model for horses who needs to seek more contact and maintain that contact. Harry is especially suited to horses who have sensitive bars, mouth corners, and cut easily, developing sores.
Harry is designed to be more stable in the mouth and less confusing. It works to keep the correct balance point (BP) in the mouth. If you have a bigger bend forward, you will also move the BP forward and reduce the effectiveness of your aids.
Harry is the perfect bit to use in combination with your other bits.
More about the mouthpiece
Loose Rings are designed to move independently to the mouthpiece. This allows the horse more freedom to use his tongue, enabling them to place the pressure from the mouthpiece either higher or lower, whichever they prefer.
Loose Rings are a good choice for a horse that can lean on the bit and can feel stiff to get a softer, more flexible contact.
More about the loose rings
A loose ring bit should sit comfortably with about 2–5 mm space on each side of the horse’s mouth. If the bit is too narrow it may pinch the lips, while a bit that is too wide can move too much and reduce stability.
If your horse has sensitive mouth corners, we recommend adding bit guards to protect the skin.
