Conny Sweet iron Fixed rings

Conny is a double-jointed sweet iron bit with laying joints and bar relief. Thanks to the laying joints and sweet taste, this bit will encourage the horse to seek more contact with the bit and keep a consistent contact without overreacting when you take the reins.

The Horizontal joints will lay flat against the tongue and palate to give a more gentle pressure on the tongue than vertical joints. This can be good for horses that can overreact when you take the reins and need to keep the consistent contact through every movement. It's also a good option for horses with a low palate.

Material
Sweet iron is a covering on top of a bit made of stainless steel. The purpose is to disguise the metal taste from stainless steel and create a pleasant, sweet taste, encouraging the horse to seek more contact and hold on to the bit. Following use, sweet iron will start to oxidize and turn brownish grey, this is to be expected.

Sweet iron is a good choice for horses who need to seek more contact with the bit.

Fixed rings
Fixed rings are attached to the mouthpiece, and the reins’ contact will be more still towards the mouth. Fixed rings will encourage a horse to keep the contact towards the bit and create a stable feeling for both the horse and rider.

If you prefer a thinner bit, we recommend the bradoon version Ludwig instead, which has a 12 mm thickness. The design is the same, but the mouthpiece is slimmer and the bit rings are slightly smaller in diameter.
